The Silence Of The Word - Episode 111

This week on Across All Worlds, Dr. C. Baxter Kruger and Jason Clark are joined by long term friend, John Crowder to talk about his new book, The Silence of the Word. What begins as a conversation about contemplation quickly opens into a much bigger discussion about Jesus, the incarnation, union with Christ, participation, theosis, and what it means to actually live in the reality of the Gospel.

Together, John, Baxter, and Jason explore the difference between a transactional understanding of Christianity and a participatory one, where Christ Himself is our life, our holiness, our relationship with the Father, and our sanctification.

In a world filled with noise, from phones and media to religious ideas, internal scripts, fear, anxiety, and old patterns of thinking this episode looks at how silence can help us reorient our vision toward the One who has always held us together.
