Sound of Heaven TV | Words Week 3: Nacham (Deeply Moved) EP03

What does God do when things fall apart?

Genesis 6:6 reads like God regretted making us. But the Hebrew word behind "repented" is Nacham, and it has nothing to do with admitting a mistake. Nacham means to be so deeply moved that you can't stay still. You have to act.

In this episode we follow Nacham through the Scriptures. It shows up in Genesis 6, where it ends with an ark. It shows up in Isaiah 40, "Comfort, comfort my people." It shows up in Exodus 32 and Judges 2. Every time it ends the same way: God feels it fully, and that feeling moves Him toward His people for rescue.

If you've believed God pulls away when you mess up, this message is for you. He isn't distant, and He isn't done with you. The God who made you is the same God who moves toward you when things fall apart.
