God sees you

God Sees you!

To the woman questioning if she is loved. To the woman who questions if she is seen, “God sees you”! The one who looks around and feels overshadowed by others’ strength and ambition—know this: you are not alone. While others appear to blaze their trails effortlessly, you may feel like you’re barely keeping pace. However, consider this: somewhere, another woman is looking at you and thinking the very same thing. We all wear masks. Outwardly, we may seem polished and capable, yet internally, we carry burdens and face unseen battles. Despite the pain inside, we smile, maintain a brave facade, and push forward.

This is where God’s heart shines—He sees everything. Every struggle, every doubt, every moment of questioning your worth—He sees it all and loves you completely. God doesn’t demand perfection. Instead, He invites us to be honest, to unmask our fears and weaknesses. Concealing them only strengthens their hold. Bringing our vulnerabilities to God allows His grace to cover them, teaching us that His strength is perfected in our weaknesses.

Questioning Her Own Strength

Consider the story of Hannah from 1 Samuel. Hannah was a woman deeply acquainted with suffering. She longed for a child but was barren for years, enduring not only her own pain but also the taunts of Peninnah, her husband’s other wife. Hannah’s heartache was overwhelming, yet she did not hide it from God. Instead, she brought her grief, tears, and heartfelt prayers to Him. “In her deep anguish, Hannah prayed to the Lord, weeping bitterly” 1 Samuel 1:10, NIV. Her vulnerability opened the door for God to move in her life, and in time, He blessed her with a son, Samuel. God did not simply meet her need—He acknowledged her, saw her pain, and responded in love.

Just like Hannah, God invites you to come as you are. He knows the weight you carry, even if no one else does. Your silent cries, your weary prayers, and your hidden fears are all heard and seen by Him. When you feel weak, remember Hannah’s story as a reminder that God’s compassion is boundless and His attention to your life is profound. You don’t have to endure alone. He is there, ready to be your strength and refuge.

Hannah of the Bible

Another powerful example is found in the story of Hagar in Genesis 16. As a servant of Sarai, Hagar found herself in an impossible situation. Pregnant and mistreated, she fled to the desert, alone and desperate. It was there that God met her. He saw her affliction and spoke words of comfort and promise to her. Hagar’s response was profound—she named God “El Roi”, which means “the God who sees me” Genesis 16:13, NIV. Hagar’s encounter with God was a turning point. Though her circumstances were difficult, she found hope and the assurance that she was not invisible; God had seen her.

Like Hagar, you might feel unseen and unheard in your struggles. But God’s gaze is upon you. He knows the battles you face, the exhaustion you feel, and the doubts that whisper you aren’t enough. But sister, God sees you and calls you by name. His presence surrounds you even in the moments that feel desolate. When you trust in His attentive love, you can release the burdens that weigh you down and find strength in His embrace.

Reflect on these words from Isaiah 41:10 NIV: “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Let these words seep into your heart. You are not expected to carry everything alone. God promises to uphold you, not only when you are strong, but especially when you feel weakest.

A client of mine, I will call Rachel, shared her testimony of facing overwhelming anxiety during a season of unexpected loss and uncertainty. She described how she would lie awake at night, overcome by the weight of her fears. During these nights, she began to cry out to God, not with fancy and “just right” prayers but with raw and real honesty. “I felt like I was shouting into the empty space,” she said, “but gradually, I began to feel a shift.” Rachel described how God’s peace would settle over her through learning to be real as she spoke His promises aloud as we planned, reminding herself of His faithfulness. Philippians 4:6-7 NIV became her anchor: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Rachel’s experience reminds us that God’s peace is not distant or unreachable. It is real and available to you. When you feel overshadowed by life’s pressures, let His words be your comfort and shield. Come to Him in prayer, a two-way conversation, not fearing imperfection but trusting in His perfect love.

Sister, you are enough

Sister, you are enough—not because you’re holding everything together, but because God is holding you. Life’s trials aren’t yours to face alone. Every stumble, every tear—He’s witnessed them and remains beside you. When you feel weak, remember that God is your strength. He is the refining fire that shapes you into the masterpiece He envisions. You’re not limping; His love is carrying you.

To the woman questioning her worth let me remind you: Yes, you are enough. You always have been. God’s love for you is unwavering, unaffected by your perceptions of coping. You are human, wonderfully flawed, yet perfectly loved by your Creator.

Reflect on these questions:

  • What burdens or fears have you been carrying alone?
  • How can you release these to God and trust in His strength?
  • Which scripture can you meditate on to remind yourself of God’s unwavering presence?

Look to God. Seek His strength. Allow Him to show you the depth of His love. In Him, find rest, healing, and the assurance that you don’t need to strive to be enough—you already are, just as you are. Let us stand together, women of God, fully embracing His love, knowing we are enough because He declares it so. You are seen, loved, and cherished by your Father in heaven. Grasp that truth and rise in His strength today.
